We’re Back on Artsy!

Through funding and assistance from the International Trade Center’s Alliances for Action program, funded by the European Union, we are excited to announce that we will be back on Artsy for 2023! In conjunction with our booth at this year’s Maison et Objet home décor and lifestyle expo in Paris, Yebo has launched an online exclusive exhibition on Artsy with the theme “Ekhaya: The Spirit of the Home”. Featuring 10 of Yebo’s represented artists, “Ekhaya: The Spirit of the Home” is an exhibition that uncovers the varied and complex implications of the concept of home in the context of Eswatini. With work from some of the gallery’s represented artists, explorations into the home tackle shared cultural history and creativity, interpersonal connections and acts of honouring and nurturing our natural world. Featuring work from Celimpilo Dlamini, Penny Mobsby Luoma, Khulekani Msweli, Ray Berman, Phindile Mamba, Fela Dlamini, Aleta Armstrong, Pete Armstrong and the woman-led handcraft co-operative, Indzaba Yami, “Ekhaya: The Spirit of the Home”, is an experience of the tangible and intangible moments in our homes.

Yebo is looking forward to growing our online presence and increasing promotion of our artists through Artsy, and we thank ITC and the EU for helping us take Swazi art and creativity to international audiences through Artsy.
