Khole Tshabalala

Khole is a singer and song writer from Eswatini. She started her singing career as a back up singer for local afro jazz band Itallo. She went on to release two songs on radio Sikahatsi Sami and Ngijikemyango, both songs made it to number one on the EBS 2 radio top 20 show. Khole’s music is influenced by jazz pop and African music. She describes her music as honest and simple, giving a voice to the voiceless and celebrating the uncelebrated. She has received the Delphic singer award in 2016 presented to her by the Arts and Culture CEO and The famous SA imbongi Zolani Mkhiva. Khole is also 2019/2020 MTN SWAMA nominee in the jazz/soul category. She is also the lead singer for the popular cover band Soul Friends. She has graced many stages, corporate events and festivals like her Royal Highness Queen Langangaza’s birthday dinner, Standard Bank Luju Festival, Durban Blues jazz festival, The King’s Cup gala event, The Divas’ chill out, sharing the stage with Berita, Velemseni, Floewe, Thandiswa Mazwai, Micasa and Indlovukazi to name a few.

Khole’s latest single – African Taximan – is a light hearted offering Afro pop song expressing unity and love for your fellow man through the story of the relationship between the taxi man and his clients. The song is in both English and Siswati, carried by a heavy African rhythm guitar played by Mbuso Vilakati. The song is available on all major online platforms. Khole is currently in Studio working on a full body of work.
