Following the successful sale of artworks produced by local Swazi artists during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence auction that took place last year in November, Yebo Art Gallery presented a donation of E35,000 to 10 non-governmental organizations fighting against Gender-Based Violence in Eswatini. This event occurred during the World Celebration Day at Yebo! Art Gallery on Tuesday, the 27th of February, 2024. The event was attended by some of the artists involved in the auction and members of the European Union, specifically, EU ambassador Dessislaval Chomelova who presented the donations to the 10 NGOs.
The 10 organisations that received donations are; One Billion Rising, Women Unlimited, Hosea’s Heart, Joyful Hearts, Kwakha Indvodza, Phumelela Project, Sight of Hope, Sivusa Nengcebo, Haven of Hope, and Women in Law Southern Africa, Eswatini.
