Hi! There’s a lot of exciting changes happening at Yebo in 2016!
We have extended our shop at Swazi Candles Centre in Malkerns and moved our full range of art materials to the new section! You will find top quality oil, acrylic and water colour paints, canvases in all sizes, sketch pads, notebooks, paper, pens, palettes…everything an artist needs. Also a great range of hobby materials and paints for kids! Our shop also stocks our textile range, ceramics, home decor, furniture, cards and silver jewellery. We are open 7 days a week from 8 – 5pm.
We have bought a new property on Mpumalanga Road in Ezulwini and are currently renovating it. Yebo will be moving there from our current location in Mantenga. Hoping to be open for business by Mid March 2016! We will have a showroom there featuring work by the 14 local artists we represent. There will be a library and meeting place for artists. Our workshop will be there where we do screen-printing, pottery and art classes. Our NGO Yebo ArtReach will also have its offices there. It will be open to the public from Monday to Friday from 9 – 5pm.
Art classes will resume from early April, they will be on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Screen-printing, pottery, life drawing and painting. If you want to receive info on this then email aleta@realnet.co.sz
Our next exhibition, “Just Now! – Neither here nor there but getting somewhere – communication from artists exploring current issues” will be at the end of May at the MTN Bushfire Festival 2016! We have an open call for all artists who wish to participate. More info coming soon…
