To mark International MSME Day on the 27th of June 2023, a promotional book titled, ‘ Discover Eswatini’ has been launched featuring various micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME’s), including Yebo Art Gallery.
Tackling the challenges posed by the current environment for small businesses, the book aims to celebrate the work that MSME’s do in shifting international perceptions of Eswatini through trade and business, pay tribute to the MSME’s involved and to inspire EmaSwati nationwide.
The International Trade Center has been implementing various programmes in partnership with the European Union and the Ministry of Commerce of Eswatini to establish sustainable business practices and futures for Eswatini’s artisan entrepreneurs.
Through focusing on the product-market combination, ITC and the EU have raised the profiles of MSME’s producing organic crops, artisan roasted coffee, handmade cultural creations and gourmet condiment lines. This has given small businesses the opportunity to network and be a part of the growing push to establish local materials and produce as is chronicled by the book.
Striving to promote Eswatini in a new light to the international community as more than a tourism destination and commodity exporter, this book is a tool for MSME’s to create broader connection in the market.
Yebo is excited and proud to have been part of such an amazing project and to be included in this publication.
