The Eswatini NOW 2018 Exhibition opened on Saturday the 20th of October and ran till Sunday the 28th of October On Zwide Street, Mbabane around the corner from The Theatre Club and opposite CTA.
Yebo was proud to launch the fourth installment of the “Eswatini Now” series of exhibitions. The exhibition featured thirty professional and emerging artists “exploring their own vision of Swaziland and opening our eyes to alternative realities’.
The exhibition featured over seventy paintings, installations, sculptures, photographs, drawings and performance art from both professional and young emerging artists who were exhibiting for the first time.
The venue was an old warehouse in Mbabane, in the capital city of Eswatini. The large space was wonderful for a show and its run-down facade was a good representation of the economic struggle and belt-tightening measures many of us are facing in these unsettling times. We hope emaSwati found it interesting, inspiring and thought provoking.
Yebo was also happy to announce a partnership with FNB Swaziland as they continue together on a creative journey with artists throughout 2019!
Artists who participated were: Honest Mhlanga, Mbongeni Dlamini, Ray Berman, Pete Armstrong, Khulekani Msweli, Mesuli Mamba, Fela Dlamini, Seipati Jonga, Sinenkhosi Msomi, Aleta Armstrong, Phindile Mamba, Celimpilo Dlamini, Tony Marshak, Sakhile Gumbi, Tina Lovely, Serena Thuli, Thulani Earnshaw, Obed Chipwepwe, Dane Armstrong, Smiles Makama, Ralph Smit, Sander De Klerk, Helen Moir, Lucas DeBellis, Thabiso Matsaba, Mandiso Dlamini, Tutu Mkhabela, Lindelwe Dlamini, Nkosinathi Dvube & Mcebo Sifundza.
