Welile Masuku

Welile is a 44 year old Swazi Screenwriter/Producer who possess a Dramatic Arts degree from the University of Witwatersrand, and has 10 years of experience working as a ‘Producer and Head of Production’ for a television broadcaster, as well as 12 years of experience writing screenplays for films. Welile’s achievements as a Screenplay Writer include two International Films under the Soul City Regional projects One Love Series and Love: stories in a time of HIV. Both films were screened in 10 SADC countries and one screened at the African Diaspora Film Festival in New York. Her other achievements include Winning the Hoso Bunka Foundation Prize under the auspices of the Japan Prize; an International Media contest, in 2009. She continues to work as a Writer/Producer, creating educational content with a strong feministic inclination.
