Yebo Art Gallery is pleased to announce Siyaphambili and Indzaba Yami’s exhibition of printed textiles and hand-woven baskets, which will be on show at our gallery from the 20th of May to the 17th of June. Siyaphambili and Indzaba Yami are two women-led handcraft co-operatives from Makhungutja and KaNdinda, Eswatini, respectively working primarily in grass and sisal weaving.
With the help of the International Trade Center’s Alliances for Action Program and Eswatini’s Ministry of Commerce, the two groups have undergone training at Yebo Art Gallery’s workshop in product development and design, textile design and textile printing. In addition to this, the two groups have been equipped with marketing and business skills in preparation for their respective journeys as potential entrepreneurs.
Siyaphamili and Indzaba Yami’s training has culminated in this upcoming exhibition and we hope to see you all there as we celebrate their development in design and screen printing!
